Two words from the designer

First, I want to thank my friend The Highlander, for the web-space he granted me:))) Now is the time for me to tell you with a few words about the technical side of the website - or, 'how the things work':) I'll skip the about me part and head straight to the details I love so much talking about.

The site was created mainly with Windows Notepad, and is fully compliant with the W3C's standards HTML 4.01 Transitional и CSS 2.0 - something I am very proud with, especially in the century of the WYSIWYG editors for webpages, such as Microsoft FrontPage and Macromedia DreamWeaver:)

The idea of All4SmartPhone.com was born somewhere around the beginning of June 2004, and the credit for it belongs entirely to The Highlander - as for myself, with my small knowledge of webdesign, I just picked up the task of its partial implementation into life. His is the idea also of the name of the domain - which, IMHO, is quite fresh. In general, the site was created in a period of 3-4 days (around the 10th-12th of June). This is not its final form and if there's enough time and willingness, both on our and your side, it could be developed more in the future, in its form and as well in its content.

The All4SmartPhone.com logo was created using Macromedia Fireworks MX 2004 - a wonderful program, fully comparable to Adobe Photoshop, at least as in concern to its functions for creation of graphics for the Web.

The website was tested in the following browsers: Internet Explorer SP1, Mozilla 1.6, Opera 7.5 (under Windows XP); but if you open it with some other browser, which supports CSS 2.0, and find some kind of problem, I'll be very grateful for your feedback!

Finally, someone may ask, 'What were the costs for the creation of All4SmartPhone.com'?. I'll tell you! A lot, a real lot of fun in the writing of the code, play with the Fireworks' effects, hours spent in front of the screen with a cup of coffee, search in Google and discussing of our ideas... and... Well, I'll drop the secret - there was something more - a wonderful wine, of the Italian winery Caputo - how then someone could not be inspired:)))

Designer's Sidenote
Have you ever heard about the SETI@home Project of the Berkeley University? And about the astronomer Carl Sagan? The Project's goal is to find signal from extraterrestrial civilization, through analyzis of data, collected at Arecibo Radiotelescope; a special small program (seti@home), which you must install on your computer, periodically downloads small amounts of data, which are afterwards analyzed and after a few hours sends back the results to the central server in Berkeley. I myself support the project and as low may be the probability to succeed, at least we shall know that we tried:) If you want to participate, you can register (it will take no more than a couple of minutes) and your machine very soon will start analyzing data in search of Extraterrestrial Mind! Who knows, maybe exactly you shall be the new finder of the Wow!... or maybe Hello signal?... :)))

I recommend the combination of this version of the client and the program SetiHide, which complements it in a very good way. Good luck! :-)
